Belly Dancing?
Today I called Johnny at work to tell him I could see my belly popping out when the baby kicked. It kept cracking me up and was such a new and exciting step in our pregnancy as we never got to experience that with Weston. I knew if Johnny was home he would have been able to finally feel the baby. When Johnny got home from work, the baby started kicking again so I grabbed Johnny's hand and placed it on my belly. The baby gave one last BIG kick, and Johnny looked at me with his eyes really big and said "Oh! I felt that!" I'm so thrilled that things are going so well up to this point. Actually seeing my belly moving when the baby's kicking is funny & exciting, and feeling the baby move is so incredible - I just love it!

20 Week Checkup
Today I had my 20 week doctor appointment. I got the evil eye from him because unlike I stated in my last post, I've actually gained a total of 9 pounds now - six were in the past four weeks! Yikes!!! He took the fundal height measurement & the baby appears to be growing at the rate he should be.....or it could just be all that weight I put on..... ;)

20 Weeks Pregnant
Today we are 20 weeks pregnant. As you can see, my belly hasn't popped out much, but it's definitely getting bigger. I also haven't gained much weight (probably only around 5 lbs total), which isn't a bad thing! :) I feel the baby moving quite a bit. He apparently takes after his parents and loves to eat because he goes bonkers when I eat. LOL. I'm very excited for Johnny to be able to feel the baby move - maybe in a couple weeks.
I also started a new job last Friday. I now work at JC Penney's Portrait Studio at Crossroads Mall in Waterloo. So far I'm just doing training so am trying to learn everything. I got to take my first pictures today. They were of a baby boy who wasn't very cooperative. He was pretty fussy and kept making crazy faces so not too many good pictures in that bunch. I think it's going to be fun. Next Friday I get to take Drake & Darek's (the twins Mom babysits) 3 year pictures. I'm looking forward to it.

It's a BOY!!! (16 Week Checkup)
We are currently 16 weeks 5 days pregnant. On friday (Sept 19th) I had an ultra-sound and we found out we're having a BOY. Johnny & I both knew for sure we were having a girl (as did pretty much everyone else) so when we heard the words "it's a boy!" we were very surprised. It took the rest of the day for it to completely sink in for me that it's a boy, but we're both extremely happy. It was so reassuring to find out that his growth rate is on target, my blood pressure is still normal and the little guy looks healthy. I also had my first weight gain of this pregnancy- a whopping 3 pounds! We got to see some 3D ultra-sound pictures of the baby which was really neat. He's very active and was moving around almost the entire ultra-sound----maybe practicing his football....or basketball....or golf? I have a feeling this little fella's gonna be a pistol and always up to one shenanigan or another - much like his daddy. ;)

12 Week Checkup
Today I had my 12 week doctor appointment. (We're actually 12 1/2 weeks along). The nurse (Jamie) had a tough time getting a read on the baby's heartbeat long enough to count the beats. Seems like this little one's doing lots of gymnastics and wouldn't be still. Jamie finally got a good reading and the baby's heartbeat was 160 which was "perfect". I'll have another ultra sound already at my next visit. My fingers are crossed that we'll find out the sex as I'll be 16 1/2 weeks along at that point. We think it's a girl but only God knows for sure right now!
Everything is going good so far. I haven't gained any weight at all since finding out 6 weeks ago that we're pregnant. Jamie said it's nothing to worry about as it's still early days.

Shootin' it up
Every morning I have to give myself a shot of Lovenox to thin my blood. This is to hopefully help prevent the growth restriction that Weston had. It's not a lot of fun and sometimes burns like crazy. I give myself the shots in my thighs, alternating every day, so both of my thighs are completely black and blue. Good thing I'm not going to the beach!
